NSFAS Application for Walter Sisulu University

Financial aid is a type of aid based on approved educational expenses. The National Bursary Rules and Guidelines of the Department of Higher Education and Training set the maximum amount of money that can be spent on education each year.

NSFAS will allocate resources to qualified students based on their allowed cost of attendance, which excludes club and society coverage as well as fines.

Applicants must go to the MyNSFAS webpage to discover if their application has been approved. The National Student Financial Aid Service (NSFAS) will notify colleges about new and returning students’ funding eligibility.

It’s vital to remember that until registration data is received, NSFAS has no knowledge what program of study an applicant has chosen. Even if a student qualifies for financial aid, he or she may elect to take an unfunded course. In this circumstance, NSFAS will not process or issue any funding. As a result, it is the applicant’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the list of NSFAS-funded projects (available on their website).

The following items are covered by the Nsfas funding:

Study fees, as well as scholastic requirements including mandatory books, stationery, lodging, and meals.
