Vhembe TVET College Nsfas Application
Nsfas Application for Vhembe TVET College
The Tertiary Education Fund of South Africa (TEFSA) was replaced by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme in 1996. From its inception until 2000, the TEFSA program was a non-profit entity that managed and regulated NSFAS. TEFSA was renamed NSFAS in 1999 as it was transformed into a legal entity.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a South African government student financial aid program that provides financial assistance to needy college students to help them pay for their tertiary education after they finish secondary school. The Department of Higher Education and Training funds it.
The TVET College sector is playing an increasingly important role in providing the intermediate to higher-level skills needed to support economic growth and development, and the Vhembe TVET College is confident that these bursaries will help with that. The bursary applications will be evaluated using a strict NSFAS-controlled procedure.
