About UWP Consulting

  • UWP Consulting (Pty) Ltd, a South African multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm with a majority black ownership, was founded in 1972. UWP employs around 250 people throughout its four offices in southern Africa and ten offices in South Africa, with its headquarters in Johannesburg.
  • Integrated transportation services, water engineering services, program and project management services, infrastructure planning services, services for industrial, commercial, civil, residential, health, and institutional structures, as well as niche and sector-specific services, are among the services offered by the company.

About UWP Consulting Bursary

  • UWP Consulting’s goal is to assist in the education and development of young students in the engineering sector, in accordance with the company’s requirements.
  • Undergraduate (BSc (Eng)/ BEng/ BTech) and postgraduate Civil Engineering students are eligible for the scholarship program.

  • Full academic record to date (on tertiary letterhead)
  • Latest tertiary fee statement (with a breakdown of all study fees)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Contactable references
  • A reference completed by your University or Technicon

Qualifying Criteria

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying towards a Civil Engineering qualification (BSc Eng/ BTech/ BEng/ Postgraduate)
  • Undergraduate students: completed all first-year subjects
  • Postgraduate students: studying towards a Civil Engineering BTech, BEng or BSc (Eng) qualification
  • Studying at an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa (Technikon or University)
  • *Preference will be given to those from a previously disadvantaged community

  • Interested applicants must add all necessary documents as mentioned above. Failure to add any documents would void the application.
