About Postgraduates Canon Collins Trust Scholarship

  • Higher education has a transforming effect on society, and the growth of Southern Africa is dependent on strong leadership in important areas. While the advantages of higher education continue to expand, the consequences of falling behind do as well. Underfunding of postgraduate education has morphed into an impending crisis and a key hindrance to change. This is why we have provided financial assistance to over 4,000 people whose education tackles some of the most serious concerns in current southern African society.
  • Our scholars must demonstrate their dedication to using their skillsets to produce an impact in addition to having a solid academic record and a passion for research. Both during and after the scholarship experience, scholars, activists, and civil society organizations are encouraged to learn and collaborate. Our commitment to education also includes primary and secondary schooling.
  • The Trust advocates for quality and equality in the South African education system with the help of our partner Equal Education.
