Nsfas Application for Mopani South East TVET College
The Department of Higher Education and Training provides money to the college for Bursary Allocations in order to assist qualifying students. Scholarships are available to students enrolling in the TVET College’s National Certificate (Vocational) and NATED/Report 191 programs. The college provides the following financial aid: tuition fees and allowances, such as travel or lodging.

Merit Bursary: The college offers this bursary, which is awarded based on established performance standards.

A bursary from the SRC. This bursary is for students who have been voted to the Student Leadership and only covers tuition. According to the DHET Student Attendance and Punctuality Policy, all bursaries need 80 percent attendance.

Other bursaries, advertised by institutions/industries and even SETAs, are also available.

Note: NSFAS recipients are not eligible for the Merit Bursary.

Mandatory Documents

Form of Consent: SA Identity Document: Download, fill out, and sign the form. ID copy (no more than three (3) months old, certified copies of parent/s or guardian ID, or death certificate)
Income Documentation: Only if the recipient is not a SASSA recipient or beneficiary.
People with Disabilities: Fill out the disability form (Annexure A)

  • Identity Document/Birth Certificate
  • Last Academic Results
  • Proof of parents income (If parent/s employed)
  • Death Certificate/s (If parent/s deceased)
  • Doctor’s Certificate (If permanently disabled)

Nsfas Opening Date for New Applications

Nsfas Online Application Opens from 1st September and closes on November 30.

How to Make an Application

You can apply using a cellphone, tablet, or computer to fill out an online application. To apply, simply follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and select’myNSFAS’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Sign up for a myNSFAS account.

Step 3: Select the ‘APPLY’ tab and respond to the questions that appear on the screen.

Step 4: After uploading the necessary supporting documents, click “submit.”

Your application reference number will show on the screen after you click submit. The reference number will be emailed to your cellphone number and email address as well.

Note: To apply on the NSFAS website, you must first register to create your own online account before filling out and submitting the application form.
