Nsfas Application for Letaba TVET College

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a financial aid program run by the South African government that provides financial assistance to disadvantaged college students to help them pay for their tertiary education after they graduate secondary school. The Ministry of Higher Education and Training funds the Ministry of Higher Education and Training.

Letaba TVET College Nsfas performs the following functions:

NSFAS identifies eligible students, provides bursaries, and collects past student loan repayments to replenish funds available for future generations of students; and NSFAS supports access to, and success in, higher education and training for students from poor and working-class families who would otherwise not be able to afford to study.

The following items are also covered under NSFAS funding: Registration, Tuition, also makes provisions for:

Food, lodging, or transportation
Personal care and learning materials

Documents Needed

  • Matric Certificate
  • Identity Document/Birth Certificate
  • Last Academic Results
  • Proof of parent’s income (If parent/s employed)
  • Death Certificate/s (If parent/s deceased)
  • Doctor’s Certificate (If permanently disabled

Form of Consent: SA Identity Document: Download, fill out, and sign the form. ID copy (no more than 3 months old, certified copies of parent/s or guardian ID, or death certificate)
Income Documentation: Only if the recipient is not a SASSA recipient.
People with Disabilities: Fill out the disability form (Annexure A)

Nsfas Online Application Opens on  September 1 and closes on November 30.

How to Make an Application

You can apply using a cellphone, tablet, or computer to fill out an online application. To apply, kindly follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and select’myNSFAS’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Sign up for a myNSFAS account.

Step 3: Select the ‘APPLY’ tab and respond to the questions that appear on the screen.

Step 4: After submitting the appropriate supporting documents, click the “submit” button.
