Nsfas Application for Lephalale TVET College
The NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) administers the grant, and applications can be submitted online or in person at the college grant office with the relevant paperwork.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme is a South African government student financial aid scheme that helps disadvantaged undergraduate students pay for their higher education after they graduate from high school.

Who is eligible to apply for NSFAS?

A citizen of South Africa

Applicants The total annual household income must not exceed R350 000.

The applicant’s annual household income must not exceed R122 000.

Persons with disabilities must have a combined household income of no more than R600 000 per year.

Nsfas Opening Date

Nsfas Online Application Opens from 1st September and closes on November 30.

Procedure for submitting an application;

www.nsfas.org.za is the official website of the NSFAS.
Create a myNSFAS account by clicking the Create Account button.
After logging in, go to the Apply tab.
Fill in the essential personal information and upload your supporting documents.
To finish your application, select the ‘Submit’ option and make a note of it. After filling out the essential personal information, you will be given a reference number.

-Please visit the NSFAS website at nsfas.org.za or visit our website at https://leptvetcol.edu.za for further information.

-For assistance, you can go to any Buffalo City TVET College Campus — Student Support Service.

-Please make sure you have the relevant documentation in electronic format (certified within the last three months).

A birth certificate or your South African ID ( if you do not have a green bar-coded ID or smart ID card)
— Identification of parents and/or guardians, as well as a death certificate if applicable. Pay stubs/letters of employment/ pension stubs stating parental and/or guardian income (SASSA slips are not necessary and SASSA should not be included as household income)

-Please download and complete the CONSENT FORM with your parent(s) or guardian(s) – this must be attached to your Application form – see the flip-side for information.
