Who can apply for Investec Tertiary Bursary

  • All young South African citizens with academic potential who require financial assistance are eligible to apply.
  • Pupils with a minimum of 70% in English and Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and a 60% pass rate in all other subjects who hold or are working towards a matric exemption.

Qualifying criteria

You must meet the following conditions to be considered for a bursary: Studying at a university that is accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) that offers SAICA-certified programs up to Honours / CTA level.

The bursary covers the following

  • Tuition fees
  • Textbook allowance
  • Housing, meals,
  • Experiential training.

NOTE: During the June/July or December/January vacations, students may be obliged to work at Transnet.
