How to Apply CPUT online

The documents below show how to apply to cput.

Documents needed

Copy of your school qualifications (e.g. Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

Steps needed to apply online

Register /apply on the online system at https://www.cput.ac.za/ using your email address and creating a password
You will then be sent an email with a link to activate you on the system.
Click the link to activate your registration.
This process will take you back to ROSS where you need to click the Admission/Other button (clicking the right button here is important)
You will then be allowed to enter your login and password created in step one.
Once you have completed your application you need to tick the button accepting the terms and conditions and submit.
When you have submitted you are required to pay the R100 application fee. Various options are provided by the system.
If you pay your application fee to the bank you need to use your application number as the reference and email the deposit slip to us.
Once you have completed the process above we will process the application and you are provided a student number and login

International applicants:

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning applicants)

No manual posted or over the counter applications will be accepted unless for those categories that cannot submit online and as outlined in Step 3: Get an application form here
Please note that applicants are limited to three choices. (except for RPL – only one choice permissible).
Some qualifications require applicants to submit additional information as part of their application as outlined in Step 1: Choose a qualification and Step 2: Gather your documents
