A brief on Goldfields TVET College

Goldfields Technical and Vocational Education and Training College is one of 50 public colleges that administer Technical and Vocational Education and Training under the Continuing Education and Training Act, No 16 of 2006. The College offers technical and vocational education and training to students who have finished at least Grade 9 in high school and Grade 12 students who have not yet received their university entrance credentials but would like to pursue their studies.

Goldfields TVET College is located in the Matjhabeng Local Municipality, Welkom, in the Free State Province’s Lejweleputswa District. Matjhabeng, Tokologo, Masilonyana, Nala, and Tswelopele are among the five local municipalities served by the college. The college has 4 campuses, more than 20 specializations with over 8000 students.

NSFAS identifies qualified applicants, awards bursaries, and collects past student loan repayments to replenish funds available for future generations of students; and NSFAS promotes access to and success in higher education and training for students from low-income and working-class families who would otherwise be unable to afford it. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Act 56 of 1999) was established with the purpose of offering financial aid to eligible students at public TVET colleges and public universities.

Application documents for Goldfields TVET College

1.Proof that you’ve paid your registration fee (compulsory for SA and International applicants)
2. Certified copy of your ID document (ID document is required for South African nationals; your application will not be processed until you provide a certified copy of your ID and your passport number for international applicants).
3. Exam Outcomes: Grade 12 final results (if available). Your grade 11 scores (if you are currently in grade 12) are critical to your application. As a result, keep it on hand.
4. When applying online or by mail, keep in mind that you’ll need a unique email address.

How to apply to Goldfields TVET College
