Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Programme (DAFI) Scholarship

The Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative, or DAFI, provides scholarships to refugees so that they can attend universities, colleges, and polytechnics in their host countries, as well as, more recently, in their country of return. That scheme may be available to refugees in Ruanda.

With the financial support of the German government, UNHCR and partners were able to assist the most deserving refugees in rebuilding their lives and supporting their communities in close collaboration with German embassies.

The DAFI Program’s main goal is to help refugee men and women establish self-sufficiency by providing them with a professional certificate that will enable them to find work in the future.
